I have always loved the idea of a moment that will be remembered forever. A postcard moment is when something happens, or you are doing anything and you kind of stop and step back, watch everyone around you, and take a mental picture. No real photo could capture every little thing that your mind can, so don't waste the time so you just take in everything around you.
My very first postcard moment was at camp a few years ago. My friends and I were sitting at the cantina and for a split second it was silent. Nobody spoke and no distractions were made. We all looked down at the lake and just took it all in, a few seconds later the laughter continued and so did the memories.. but for those few seconds I was truly content for the first time.
Another post card moment was at disney world two summers ago. It was the first time I had seen the fireworks at the castle at 11pm and I had never been more amazed. I had no cell phone, no distractions, I just listened and watched. It felt like something out of the movie. I was surrounded by some of my favorite people in the world and couldn't have been happier anywhere else in the world that night.. and for a few seconds I thought it was never going to end.
