After the February writing challenge I lost all motivation to get anything done. I had been so busy that I had completely forgotten to write ANYTHING. March has actually been one of the craziest months already, I have been so busy and recently took up kickboxing so that has been fun but mostly sore. I have been planning my graduation trip to the Bahamas, and of course prom.
I am a firm believer that prom is what you make it. After last year I have learned it is not like all the movies.. it's better. In an odd way prom during second semester starts to take over our lives. Last year, I loved prom and had an amazing time. I brought one of my best friends, Shane who is a sophomore and we had a lot of fun. Of course it was stressful at first, because the search for the perfect dress is completely overrated. In the movies they don't show you trying on 1000 dresses before finding one you like that either your friends and mom hate, or it costs over $500. I tried on over 15 dresses before ordering a dress from China that took over a month to ship..
First off I will say that online shopping is a gift from God & here are a few of my favorite websites to find prom dresses that are affordable:
( I ordered my dress from this last website and had the dress custom made to be black. This website has just about any Oscars, VMAs, etc. celebrities dresses! )
Blake Lively's Yellow Halter Dress Savages New York Premiere!
Junior prom I was so stuck on what I wanted that I went with a total classic. My dress was a little boring but I loved it and I'm so glad I wore it! Below are a few pictures of the dress in my color.
On the right, my friend Frances also wore a Blake Lively dress (aka Serena Van der Woodsen from Gossip Girl) from Celebrity Dresses!
