It was the best of times and it was the worst of times, OR it was just high school.
Now were seniors in High school, about to turn eighteen, applying to colleges, and making decisions that will affect the rest of our lives. Within the next few months your parents that have watched you learn and grow will begin to step back, because they know that it's your time to "leave the nest." Sometimes we take our parents for granted, when they deserve to be thanked more than often for all they have done for us. It's hard to think back on the last four years of high school because there were so many good memories that feel like ages ago.
We have 180 days until May 16th, Graduation Day. But really we still have 26 more Mondays to get through, and do you know what the upside of that is? We have 26 more Fridays to look forward to. 180 may seem like some HUGE number of days that can't seem to go by fast enough. But the next time you find yourself dreading a Monday morning think to yourself just one less Monday to make it through.
Most people really take high school for granted because they are too busy whining about tests and homework, which I have fallen 100% victim of. But we really only have so much time left to be this young. We have 26 more Saturday nights with our friends, when you look at it like that doesn't 26 not seem like enough days at all? When I stop and look around and think about the last four years I wonder how time could have possibly gone by so fast.

This is SO cliché of me.. but PLEASE love every last minute that we have, because before you know it, it will all be over. We will never be as young as we are right now AND never have this little responsibility again. We waited so long for THIS moment, our final year, now we are spending what little time we do have left wishing for another time. Just be present. Sometimes we just let time pass us by, later asking ourselves "where did the time go?" We waste our words and we waste our moments, We never really take the time to just think. So maybe take the time to listen to your teacher once in awhile, try something you haven't taken the time to do yet, spend a Friday night with your parents, be a little late to class, and if you want to stay home sick, STAY HOME SICK.
because It is not the end of the world.. It's just the end of high school.
